If my relatives, friends in Vietnam call me when I’m using International Roaming service overseas, will they have to pay international call charge fee?
All incoming calls from your relatives and friends from Vietnam( Home country) will be treated as a national call. All incoming calls in the roaming location however will be treated as an international call and as per the prevailing tariff rates in the specific roaming location.
I am using International Roaming service but being barred because of usage limit (for postpaid) or empty core balance (prepaid). How can I pay or top up?
Applicable for Postpaid Customers
Customers will be forewarned through multiple SMS and calls prior barring. On receipt of SMS on exceeding credit limit, an immediate payment( Hot bill ammount) can be made at any of the Vietnamobile Shops in your nearest location.
Applicable for prepaid Customers:
Prepaid customers who have core balance as zero will not be able to make outgoing calls. On topping up from the home location the services will be restored. To check Core Balance (type *101#OK).
What is the refundable deposit for International roaming services & timeframe required for activation / cancellation of services.
Refundable deposit for International Roaming is VND 3 Million. Time taken for activation and cancellation is minimum 8 hours. Minimum 30 days timeframe is required to refund the international roaming deposit.
Why does it take up to 30 days to get back the deposit?
International Roaming tariff that Vietnamobile charges customers is based on the roaming operator . Therefore it takes minimum 30 days period for the roaming partner to send Vietnamobile all charges.
What is the process In the event of loss of SIM Card whilst in roaming location
In the event of loss, customers should immediately contact Vietnamobile Customer Care (hotline: +84922789789) and register a complaint.
Why does Vietnamobile not provide International Roaming tariff categorized by country for postpaid subscribers similar to prepaid subscribers.
In most countries Vietnamobile has more than 1 roaming partner & roaming tariff is different between roaming partners.
Can prepaid subscribers register prepaid SMS-roaming/ prepaid full-roaming overseas or compulsorily register in Vietnam?
Customers must register for roaming services whilst in the home network. Outside home network this sevice will be invalid.
My hand phone is not out of credit, why am I unable to call or send SMS overseas?
Prepaid SMS-roaming/ prepaid full-roaming voice & non voice call charges will be deducted from Core Balance. Therefore, if there is no sufficient Core Balance, customers will not be able to receive a call or send message (according to price posted on website www.vietnamobile.com.vn) . Please be informed that prepaid SMS-roaming/ prepaid full-roaming also has a validity date and services will be disrupted on reaching the same.
However, customers still can receive incoming message. In order to continue using the service, customers need to top up or recharge.
I’m on a business trip in Thailand and am aware that Vietnamobile has launched prepaid SMS-roaming with both AIS and TrueMove. Which operator should I choose to get lower price?
Currently, prepaid SMS-roaming tariff is defined by country. Therefore the tariffs will remain the same.
Will Vietnamobile prepaid promotions on recharge be applicable for me whilst in roaming location ( for example 100% top up)

For prepaid subscriber, you will have 500MB with D50 package, only 50K dong, 1GB with D100 only 100K dong and un-limitation of usage with D150 only 150K dong.
For post subscriber, the service will be charged base on monthly data usage. You will pay 50K dong if the data usage is less than or equal 500MB, 80K dong for less than or equal 1GB usage and 150K dong if over 1GB.
Note, the data usage of D150 is no larger than 3GB as Fair Use Policy applied.
How much do I have to pay for the exceeding usage from the limitation of purchased Flexi data?
For prepaid subscriber, you will pay 4.5 vnd for each extra kb. For postpaid subscriber, you will pay 1vnd for each extra kb after using 3GB.
How can I register Flexi Data?
For prepaid subscriber, any time you want to use our service, please press *500# for D50 package, *501# for D100 and 502# for D150.
For postpaid subscriber, please come to our nearest direct shop to register. The service fee will be charged according to the real data usage amount of bill cycle.
What is the benefit of using Flexi Data in comparison with normal data service?
