SUBSCRIBER INFORMATION STANDARDIZATION GUIDE – PROTECT YOUR REGISTERED SIM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST REGULATIONS
In strict compliance with Circular No. 08/2026/TT-BKHCN issued on March 31, 2026, telecommunications providers are actively accelerating subscriber data standardization. This initiative not only helps eliminate spam SIM cards, but also serves as a shield to protect customer rights and prevent identity fraud risks.
1. Verification of 4 Mandatory Information Fields
According to the new technical regulations, verifying mobile subscriber information requires absolute accuracy in the following 4 data categories:
- Personal Identification Number (Citizen ID / Personal ID Number)
- Full Name (Surname, Middle Name, Given Name)
- Date of Birth (Day / Month / Year)
- Biometric Information (Facial Image)
Flexible Verification Methods
To provide maximum convenience, customers may choose one of the following methods:
- Use the VNeID electronic identification application
- Complete verification via the official telecom operator app
- Visit authorized service stores nationwide
2. Subscriber Information Standardization Guide for Vietnamobile Customers
Depending on the type of identification document currently in use, customers may follow the instructions below:
2.1 Customers Using 9-Digit ID Cards (CMND)
As this older document type does not contain a chip, customers in this group are required to:
- Visit the nearest Vietnamobile service store in person
- Bring the original ID card for direct support from staff

2.2 Customers Using 12-Digit Citizen ID Cards (Chip-based CCCD)
Customers can complete the process entirely online through the Vietnamobile app.
